Hey Y’all!

Sophie Grace Bell (she/her/hers) is a creative based in Birmingham, Alabama. Originally from St. Petersburg, Florida, she is completing her BFA in Musical Theatre from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (BLAZE ON!!)

Sophie comes from a very creative family her mom, is a Grants Manager for a holocaust museum with training in vocal performance. And her dad who is a Master Sergeant Public Affairs Officer for the United States Army with a degree in Journalism and Mass Communications! From a young age, Sophie has been involved in the performing arts from dance, to playing the steel drums and cello (please don’t ask me to play)

Sophie is an artist that believes that empathy is the source of connection. The performing arts allow complete connection, and without the source of connection- humanity will fail. Sophie strives to allow herself to truly see the people around her for who they are, to show up and be a person in everyone’s corner. To her, that strengthens her sense of connection, for seeing people as they are, not what they are perceived as. And that’s the message Sophie wants to carry through her work, for people to remove societal blinders and see the greater good.

In her free time she enjoys hiking, traveling, cooking for friends, attending a banging concert, grabbing a coffee with friends (check out Black Crow coffee in St. Petersburg Florida or Seeds Coffee Co. in Birmingham Alabama), maybe even sewing a dress here or there, or spending time with her cat, Margot!
